The totals mean that of every 10,000 veterans in the United States, 21 Veterans were experiencing homelessness at the start of last year. Veterans make up about 6 percent of the population of the United States but 8 percent of the country’s homeless population. During our programs, we will assess the critical needs of the veteran and their families, then assist with getting them back on their feet.
Foundation for Veterans Helping Veterans and Their Communities New York State projects to serve 50 to 100 families and individuals annually within the veteran community through our programs and workshops.

aboutus
Dedicated to the veterans of the United States and their families that support them:
I grew up in a home that "character is what we really are; reputation is what people think we are."
As the watchmen and women of the world, we must hold the best character and help our fellow veterans, their families, and our communities. The military has general orders. General Order #5 states, "quit my post only when I'm properly relieved." A form of quitting our post is when we physically leave active military duty and make the physical transition to become a veteran. One way to make the mental and physical transition and relieve ourselves from duty is to take on our obligations as a citizen of the United States. Now that we are back home, our enemies are depression, suicide, hunger, homelessness, anger, drugs, financial instability, etc. Foundation for Veterans Helping Veterans and Their Communities New York State and many other veteran organizations will pull their resources to help support all veterans, their families, and their communities. Thanks to all who serve this great nation
